IDB Lab to Host Third Edition of IDB Lab Forum in Buenos Aires
IDB Lab, the innovation and venture capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank, will hold the third edition of its flagship event, the IDB Lab Forum, from October 31 to November 1 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event will focus on business innovation, venture capital, and technology for development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year’s forum will concentrate on financing innovation and fostering the growth of entrepreneurial ecosystems to drive greater impact in the region. The event will also highlight the role of artificial intelligence in closing development gaps.
The forum is expected to attract around 600 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, accelerators, policymakers, and other key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem. Attendees will explore business opportunities, identify emerging trends, and initiate new projects.
Irene Arias Hofman, CEO of IDB Lab, emphasized the forum’s significance in gauging the current state of the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. “In this edition, the first to be held in the Southern Cone, we will once again witness the dynamism of those who are committed to innovation and new technologies and we will learn about the most cutting-edge trends and the potential of emerging sectors,” she stated.
The event will feature discussions on technologies such as Web 3.0, responsible artificial intelligence, venture capital, tokenization, and biotechnology. The agenda will also cover new technologies relevant to the region’s climate goals. A dedicated session on fintech, organized by the Milken Institute, will examine ways to create a more inclusive, sustainable, and innovative financial ecosystem.
