Agrotoken Secures $12.5 Million in Pre-Series A Funding Round

Agrotoken has announced the successful closure of its Pre-Series A funding round, raising a significant sum of US$12.5 million. Notably, the company has welcomed Bunge Ventures as a new investor, marking a strategic collaboration between Agrotoken and Bunge, a global leader in agriculture, food, and ingredients.

Bunge Ventures, the investment arm of Bunge, brings valuable expertise and resources to Agrotoken’s innovative endeavors. Together, the companies aim to explore opportunities to enhance the digital experience for Bunge’s global network of clients.

Eduardo Novillo Astrada, CEO and Co-founder of Agrotoken, expressed satisfaction with the investment, stating, “We conclude 2023 with this investment, which reflects the strength of our technological infrastructure and our commitment to pioneering solutions.” He further emphasized the significance of the capital injection in enabling Agrotoken to expand its horizons and address future challenges alongside strategic partners.

In addition to Bunge Ventures, Visa, a global leader in digital payments, participated in the Pre-Series A round, underscoring its support for digital asset innovation and disruptive payment solutions. Other notable investors include Borderless Capital, Xperiment Ventures, Beagle Capital, Barn Investimentos VC, MatterScale Ventures, BYX Ventures, Newtopia VC, OCTAVA, Capitallab VC, and Christophe Groh.

Agrotoken’s solution, currently integrated into the commodities market in Argentina and Brazil, aims to simplify and democratize access to financing for producers and suppliers through tokenized harvesting. This approach holds promise for revolutionizing agricultural financing, offering greater accessibility and efficiency to industry stakeholders.
