Meu Pescado Expands Digital Presence with Acquisition of Vai Aqua

Meu Pescado, a startup specializing in management systems for shrimp and fish producers, has acquired Vai Aqua, a leading platform for communication and marketing in the aquaculture sector. The terms of the deal, finalized in early July after five months of negotiation, were not disclosed. The acquisition is part of Meu Pescado’s strategy to advance digital education and technological innovation in aquaculture in Brazil.

Vai Aqua, known for its technical content and followed by 27,000 YouTube subscribers, enhances Meu Pescado’s capacity to provide educational resources for the industry. Jorge Oliveira, founder of Meu Pescado, explained that the acquisition aligns with their goal to accelerate the digital transformation of aquaculture, offering specialized media and content to support this transition.

The first initiative following the acquisition will be a podcast hosted by Oliveira and Álvaro Leal, co-founder of Meu Pescado, featuring industry leaders discussing aquaculture trends and innovations. Meu Pescado has also formed partnerships with companies such as MSD Animal Health, ADM, General System, Trevisan, and Imeve to further strengthen its reach and influence within the sector.

This move comes as part of a broader expansion effort by Meu Pescado, which recently secured R$2 million to support its growth. By integrating Vai Aqua’s platform, Meu Pescado aims to become a central source of knowledge and innovation for the aquaculture industry in Brazil.
