Brazilian Startup Meu Pescado Secures $420K Investment for Expansion
Meu Pescado, a Brazilian startup specializing in aquaculture management, has secured $420,000 in a recent investment round. The funding was led by Aimorés Investimentos and Japan’s Incubate Fund, with contributions from various angel investors.
Meu Pescado’s digital tool aggregates essential data from fish farmers, allowing for detailed monitoring and analysis despite limited internet access. This approach enables the company’s aquaculture engineers and zootechnicians to provide actionable insights aimed at enhancing farm productivity.
The company’s growth trajectory has seen a fourfold increase in customer base over the past year, with projections to triple its size by 2024.
The investment will be allocated to enhance marketing efforts, advance technological development, and facilitate the acquisition of a targeted company. Meu Pescado, founded in 2023, provides a comprehensive operational control system for fish farming. This system collects data on feeding practices, health, growth, and water quality through an offline application designed for use in rural locations.
The company, which operates across Brazil, is also working to expand its presence into Paraguay, Bolivia, and Costa Rica. The investment is expected to support these growth plans and further the company’s technological capabilities.
