DiMuto obtiene $5,9M en financiación de serie A para su expansión en América Latina
DiMuto, a Singapore-based startup specializing in digital solutions for the agri-food industry, has successfully raised US$5.9 million in its Series A funding round. The round was led by The Yield Lab Asia Pacific and saw participation from other prominent investors, including SiS Cloud Global Tech Fund 8, Gold Sceptre Limited, and Dave Chen. Existing investors, such as SEEDS Capital, SGInnovate, and PT Great Giant Pineapple, also contributed, continuing their support from DiMuto’s previous US$2.35 million fundraising in 2021.
Founded in 2019, DiMuto has positioned itself as a key player in the digital transformation of the global food supply chain. The company’s solutions integrate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things, to improve quality assurance, enhance transparency, and facilitate real-time data capture across the agri-food value chain. DiMuto’s platform digitizes every carton of agri-food products, offers a traceable marketplace connecting verified buyers and suppliers, and provides post-shipment trade financing.
The newly secured funds will enable DiMuto to expand its presence in key markets, particularly in Latin America and the United States, and accelerate the development of its digital ecosystem. The company also plans to broaden its marketplace offerings and explore new areas, such as greenhouse-based agriculture and climate-adaptive varietal development, to strengthen year-round supply resilience. Additionally, DiMuto aims to scale its private label, SoLuna Fresh, which markets traceable fresh produce from Latin America into Asian markets.
Gary Loh, Founder and CEO of DiMuto, highlighted the significance of this funding round amid global economic challenges, viewing it as a strong endorsement of the company’s growth and strategy. The capital infusion is expected to further DiMuto’s mission of redefining global agritrade by enhancing transparency and sustainability across the agri-food supply chain.
