Bayer’s LifeHub is opening the door at Bayer Crop Science HQ in Germany for up to six new start-up companies. With the development of a new hub for regenerative agriculture, companies can co-locate at our headquarters, with access to lab space and infrastructure, non-dilutive funding, and our expertise—no strings attached.

- We’re interested in startups focused on areas including:
- Crop yield and productivity
- Social and economic well-being of farmers and communities
- Soil health
- Mitigation & adaptation to climate change
- Maintain, preserve, or restore biodiversity
- Conservation of water resources
Startup location
- Accepting applications from startups based in all countries
Stage of funding
We’re looking for startups at the following stages:
- Pre-seed
- Seed
- Series A

We’re looking for startups with solutions in the following TRL range: Levels 3-6
Prêmios ou benefícios
Up to €50,000 in non-dilutive funding for collaborative proof-of-concept or pilot studies.
Initial 2-year lease, with first year at no cost of wet/dry lab and office space at Bayer Crop Science HQ. For the second year, costs will be in line with typical lab space rates for start-ups in the region. Lab facilities available for a wide range of chemical, biological, mechanical and digital needs. Access to climate chambers, greenhouses, and field space is feasible.
In-kind access to additional in-house tools and technologies on a case-by-case basis.
Company-tailored Bayer experts, and mentors from our global innovation network. Dedicated technical expert partner per company and dedicated incubator manager for the cohort.
Integration into our local and global innovation ecosystems as part of the inaugural cohort of start-ups at our headquarters. Located at the heart of an internationally renowned agricultural ecosystem spanning the Netherlands, France, Germany and Belgium.
On a case-by-case basis in the framework of a collaborative proof of concept or pilot study.
